TONIGHT, Monday, 12 September - New NSW Barristers' Rules (Parramatta) In conjunction with the New NSW Barristers' Rules coming into effect on the 8 August 2011, the NSW Bar Association is running a number of seminars to outline and discuss these new rules. Tuesday, 13 September - "Taxing Matters": Managing your finances & your tax This seminar will be presented by Dennis Robertson of Weston, Woodley & Robertson Chartered Accountants and Consultants. The seminar will be conducted on the topic of saving for income tax & GST and cash forecasting. Please download a flyer for further details. Wednesday, 14 September - Commercial Arbitration Act (Part 1 of 2) This is the first in a two-part seminar series aiming to cover legislative updates, recent cases and current issues in domestic and international arbitration. Speakers include Bathurst CJ, Allsop P, Rares J, Hammerschlag J as well as senior members of the bar including Holmes QC, Douglas QC, Bailey SC and senior members of the ADR Committee.These seminars have been designed for silks and those junior barristers who attended the 'Writing Arbitral Awards' Seminar in August and wish to be approved as arbitrators.
