Martin Place homeless thanks

Thu Apr 21 2011
Philanthropy

Greg Curtin SC would like to thank all who have volunteered to assist the Martin Place homeless on Easter Sunday. As happened for our barbecue last year, numbers have well exceeded the fifteen sought, but no volunteers will be turned away if you still wish to come. Greg extends his thanks to Brian Ralston (Latham Chambers), of Self Tort fame, who will be singing and playing his guitar at the barbecue. Thanks also to Investa Property Group for allowing the use of their power for Brian’s equipment. An important part of the evening is simply chatting to the homeless and making them feel part of the community, not ignored by it, and it's conversation that does the trick. They are very approachable and all of them respond to a smile and a hello. 21 April 2011
