Date for your diary - National Indigenous Legal Conference, 12-13 August 2011

The New South Wales Bar Association and Ngalaya, the NSW Association of Indigenous lawyers and law students, invite you to attend the National Indigenous Legal Conference, which will take place in Sydney on 12 and 13 August 2011. The conference will be held at Dockside, Cockle Bay from 9am – 5pm each day with the conference dinner to take place on Friday evening in the Ivy Ballroom where the prestigious Indigenous Lawyer of the Year award will be announced. The themes for the 2011 Conference are Indigenous Identity, Indigenous Rights and Indigenous Governance. There will also be sessions on The Northern Territory Intervention, Protecting Culture and Sentencing Indigenous Offenders.
