Australian Observance of The United Nations Day of Vesak 2011 (ADVERTISEMENT)

An invitation is extended to members of the Bar Association to commemorate Vesak Day on Sunday, 29 May 2011. This year marks the 2600th anniversary of the Buddha’s enlightenment, and the Australian Observance will take place on Sunday, 29 May 2011 at the Sydney Town Hall from 6pm – 9pm. Buddhist teachings encourage being mindful of one’s actions and environment, and of karma and peaceful conduct. Members of the bar are invited to learn more about this Eastern way of life.
