Appointments to the Local Court

Attorney General John Hatzistergos has announced two new appointments to the Local Court of New South Wales. Magistrate Jane Culver has been appointed a deputy chief magistrate, while Jennifer Atkinson, the manager of court services and prothonotary at the Supreme Court has also been appointed as a magistrate.

Magistrate Culver will be sworn-in at a ceremonial sitting on 12 July 2010 at 9.00am in courtroom 5.2 of the Downing Centre Local Court. Sandy Street SC will speak on behalf of the New South Wales Bar. Ms Atkinson will be sworn-in on 19 July.
