A salute to Commodore Slattery

On 10 March 2010 the Hon Justice Michael Slattery was appointed as a deputy judge advocate general (DJAG) - a position which carries the rank of commodore in the Royal Australian Navy. Justice Slattery has served as the head of the New South Wales Navy Reserve Legal Panel and was counsel assisting a navy board of inquiry into the helicopter crash on Nias Island, Indonesia, on 2 April 2005.
