Move along law for paedophiles in public housing

In response to the Dennis Ferguson furore, the New South Wales Government has introduced the Housing Amendment (Registrable Persons) Bill 2009. The object of the Bill, as provided by the explanatory note, is to amend the Housing Act 2001 _to enable the director-general of the Department of Human Services to terminate the lease of public housing tenant who is a registrable person under the _Child Protection (Offenders Registration) Act 2000, ostensibly for their own protection.
