All seized up? Bar yoga classes resume next week

Thu Jul 23 2009

Yoga classes resume next week, for a 10-week term. Classes are held in the Common Room, each Tuesday at 7:15am (for 1 hour). Register online now so that you don't miss out. If you'd like to register for either part-term or as a casual you can download the appropriate registration forms online. Here's what some of our students have said about the classes:

Although rising early in the dark on a cold winter's morning is a gruesome prospect, I strangely look forward to doing it each Tuesday. For Tuesdays at 7.15 I have my yoga class. I am not completely new to the discipline, having incorporated yoga into my fitness training, but the additional hour each week has been rewarding. I am unquestionably more flexible. I love the sense of tranquility I feel at the end of the classes. I feel much more at peace with the world when I head off to court. Our teacher, Jolie is very encouraging and an inspiration to us all." Being totally new to yoga I attended my first Yogabowl class with a degree of scepticism. Was I really going to get anything out of this form of oriental mysticism? The answer was an emphatic, "yes". I was primarily interested in improving my flexibility and that has been achieved in spades. Virtually immediately our delightful and understanding instructor, Jolie had us stretching and feeling muscles that we didn't even know existed! For anyone conscious that they are starting to "seize up" (aren't we all?) I can highly recommend Yoga Bowl yoga classes, and if you are lucky enough to have Jolie as your instructor you will be at ease from the word go.
