Farewell to the Hon Justice Michael Kirby and swearing in ceremony for the Hon Justice Virginia Bell

There will be a farewell for the Hon Justice Michael Kirby at the High Court of Australia in Canberra at 12 mid-day on Monday 2 February.

The swearing in ceremony for the Hon Justice Virginia Bell will take place at the High Court in Canberra at 10.15am on Tuesday 3 February.

At both ceremonies Anna Katzmann SC will speak on behalf of the New South Wales Bar and Tom Bathurst QC will speak on behalf of the Australian Bar Association.

Barristers are to wear robes and wigs. Senior counsel should wear full-bottomed wigs.
