New SC Practice Note for removing judgments from the Internet during criminal jury trials

Chief Justice J J Spigelman AC today issued Practice Note SC CL 9 (Removal of Judgments from the Internet).�The Practice Note commences operation on 1 November 2008. It applies to criminal jury trials in the Common Law Division. The purpose of the Practice Note is to ensure, for jury trials, that an electronic version of a judgment, which details specifics of the proceedings or related proceedings, is removed from the Internet for the duration of the trial or another appropriate period.� View the Practice Note>
