The Senate�Standing Committee on Legal and Constitutional Affairs has tabled its report on the Evidence Amendment Bill 2008. On 18 June 2008, the Senate referred the provisions of the�Bill� to the committee.�The Evidence Amendment Bill 2008�amends the Evidence Act 1995 to implement the majority of recommendations made by the Australian Law Reform Commission, the New South Wales Law Reform Commission and the Victorian Law Reform Commission as a result of their inquiry into the operation of the uniform Evidence Acts.
