Victorian WorkCover review released for consultation

The first independent review into Victoria’s workers compensation legislation in over 20 years was released for community consultation today. The inquiry, conducted by�Peter Hanks QC, received�over 150 submissions.�The report contains in excess of 150 recommendations for further consideration.

Minister for WorkCover Tim Holding said: “While we have the best workers compensation system of any jurisdiction in Australia, we will look to this process for further ways to improve the support and services provided to injured workers and reduce the administrative burden on Victoria’s employers.”
