Australian Government announces new Indigenous law and justice advisory body

Minister for Home Affairs Bob Debus has�invited Indigenous Australians to participate in the�development of a new national Indigenous law and justice advisory body. Nationwide advertisements begin tomorrow with expectations the first meeting will occur by December this year.

"The body will be consulted by the government and will have significant input into Indigenous law and justice matters and will report to the Standing Committee of Attorney Generals and COAG", Mr Debus said.
