Government widens parameters for victim impact statements

Attorney General John Hatzistergos�has announced�further changes to�the practice and procedure of presenting victim impact statements. Under proposed amendments to the Crimes (Sentencing Procedure) Act 1999,�victims of a�wider variety of offences will be able�to give a statement, using�more diverse methods of expression, such as photographs and drawings.
