Bar FC getting closer to the finals

Thu Aug 11 2016

Today saw the resumption of play in the chase to the final four positions in the Domain Soccer League. Reserve Bank "C" forfeited the game due to a lack of players, before arranging for some skillful additions to their team for their game against Bar FC today. The "friendly" resulted in Bar FC being narrowly beaten 2-1.

Today saw some of the latest influx from the readers course take the field. Trent March with his left foot was welcomed to the team and played solidly on debut. Both Kane and Vickers worked hard in defence, whilst Lang was back to his former confident self after a year plagued by injury. The player of the match however was Hartford Davis who worked tirelessly all day and whose wonder strike gave momentum to Bar FC’s attack in the second half.

Only 4 points separates the top 5 positions with Bar FC currently second on 22 points. The last game before the finals will be on Wednesday, 17 August 2016 at 1.15 p.m. against BT Financial "B".

Today’s team was as follows:

  • Trent March
  • Angus Lang
  • Ivan Griscti
  • Tim Kane
  • Phillip Santucci
  • Richard Sergi
  • John Harris (GK)
  • Geoff O'Shea
  • Matt Vickers
  • Glen Fredericks
  • Sebastian Hartford Davis
