Wanted: volunteers for Indigenous pre-law students' visit

Fri Dec 05 2014

As part of its Reconciliation Action Plan, the Bar Association hosts an annual visit from the Indigenous students attending the UNSW pre-law course. This year the visit is on 16 December and starts at 9 am in the common room. The chair of the Indigenous Barristers'€™ Strategy Working Party is seeking volunteers to attend the morning discussion about life as a barrister and then take several students back to chambers. A visit to the Supreme Court starts at 12.15 pm and then there is a lunch in the common room.

The objective is to demonstrate to the new law students the role of barristers and to encourage them to see the bar as a future career option.

Volunteers are needed. Please come for an enjoyable morning and a rewarding exchange with some aspiring law students. Contact Wendy Incoll by email on or telephone her on 9229 1710.

If you have any questions about your possible contribution, please contact Chris Ronalds SC via email.
