Tue Sep 26 2017
Seminars

Australian Association of Constitutional Law will host a special panel discussion on Tuesday, 10 October 2017 between The Hon Robert French AC, Professor Adrienne Stone and Dr Ruth Higgins. The event will be held in Courtroom 18B, Federal Court of Australia, Queens Square between 5.30pm and 7.00pm.

Reflecting the AACL’s diverse membership spanning the judiciary, the academy, and the practising profession, speakers will converse on the topic of Scholarship, Advocacy and Judgment, exploring the relationship between courts, universities and practitioners both generally and in connection with current affairs, which has seen constitutional law in the public eye.

The event will appeal to practitioners and scholars seeking an understanding of the various uses that can be made of scholarship in practice and vice versa, as well as those interested more broadly in the relationship between the different branches of the legal profession.

The event is open to non-members of the AACL.
