The NSW Mental Health Commission has released a new report, Towards a Just System: Mental Illness and Cognitive Impairment in the Criminal Justice System. The report notes, among other things, the connections between cognitive impairment, incarceration and recidivism, as well as the additional burden this places upon the criminal justice system.
