Access to justice

The Law Council is reviewing the state of access to justice in Australia, focussing on 13 acutely disadvantaged groups. Called the Justice Project, under the chairmanship of the Hon Robert French AC, it aims to build the case for appropriate funding for law reform and access to justice. Today marked the start of the community consultation phase, with the release of issues papers and calls for submissions. Learn more about the project here. The Australian Bar Association supports the initiative and has issued a media release calling for innovative solutions to the crisis.
