Bar FC still without a win

Bar FC struggled against Lands FC, losing 3-1 in a game played in gusty conditions. Valiant as always in defence, Philips was clearly player of the match as he parried raid after raid on our goal. A big loss to our defence in the first ten minutes as goalkeeper John Harris was taken out by a head knock. Early signs are that his concussion should be short-lived (Sir Alex is relieved).

A welcome addition to the team saw Peter Tiliakos, a reader of two days, spring into action up front and provide some welcome assistance to Hugh Morrison. A further notable mention must go the Justin Hogan Doran who put on the keepers gloves and performed brilliantly, albeit nonchalantly (as those of you who know him will understand), between the sticks.
