Tutorials in Australian Legal History

The Francis Forbes Society for Australian Legal History is once again presenting a series of tutorials on Australian legal history. All tutorials will be presented in the Banco Court. Each tutorial will commence at 5.15pm and conclude at 6.15pm. The program for the first half of the year is as follows:

  • The importance of legal history and the work of William Blackstone by Emeritus Professor Wilf Prest (University of Adelaide): Tuesday, 11 April 2017.
  • The History of Corporation Law by Justice Ashley Black: Tuesday, 2 May 2017
  • The History of Equity by the Hon Peter Young QC: Tuesday, 23 May 2017
  • The History of Property Law by the Hon John Bryson QC: Tuesday, 13 June 2017

Further tutorials are planned for the second half of the year, including The History of Criminal Law by Chief Justice Bathurst.
