The 2012 Australasian Law Teachers Association (ALTA) Conference will be hosted by the University of Sydney Law School, from the 1 - 4 July 2012. The theme of the conference will be"Legal Education for a Global Community".
Inan increasingly interconnected academic fraternity, scholarly dialogue transcends national boundaries. Quality legal research increasingly incorporates a comparative approach and the application of comparative research efforts are bearing fruit through engagement in law and development, social justice and human rights work.
The theme of this yearâs conference reflects this increasingly global outlook and invites comment debate and discussion on the benefits and challenges raised by this developing perspective.
